President's Asia Scholarship

Scholarship description

The main purpose of the Scholarships is to support Asian international students to complete a Mechanical Engineering Diploma program at Academia Higher Education Colleges. Selection will be based on academic merit, financial need and demonstrated potential to succeed in engineering studies at Academia.

  • Application is made to the International Admissions Office
  • A Selection Committee assesses the applications
  • Short-listed candidates may be required to participate in an interview (which may take place in the student’s home country or via video conference)

The Scholarships are awarded by the Academia Strategic Council on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.

Eligibility

  • Top International student from Asia
  • Studying an equivalent to Slovenian Year 12 or IB in 2017
  • Commencing a mechanical engineering program at Academia campus in Maribor, Slovenia
  • The countries in Asia covered by this Scholarship are: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen

 

Nepali Student Scholarship

Scholarship description

This scholarship awards an tuition annually up to one top student from Nepal. Scholarships apply to tuition only and are automatically renewed annually up to the completion of one degree, subject to the scholarship terms and conditions. The Nepali Student Scholarship is awarded to a student in a field of study that enables the student to return home and contribute to the reconstruction needs of Nepal. The award is intended to help educate future leaders who can make positive differences in their home country.
