Programme Summary
With the revolution of social networks a way of preparing and producing multimedia products and content has changed significantly. If we have, until recently, read and watch the contents of a handful of authors, content is now created by all of us. But in today’s world full of information, how can we put our story to the fore? In the study of media production you will familiarize yourself with different techniques, technologies and platforms that will enable you to put your product in the spotlight.
By mixed contents from the field of photography, audio and video production and graphic design in the first year of study, the second year is specialized only in the field of audio design. Nowadays all fields are much more intertwined than in the past, so a good basic knowledge of these topics is important for the future specialization and the development of your career.
Competences, which you will gain from this study program will enable the immediate application of your knowledge in practice and prepare you for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead of you.

Entry Requirements
To enrol in this study programme you must have:
- Completed Secondary / High-School Education – 12 years
- Proof of English Language Level upon entry, which could be one of the following:
- ELSA Score of at least 380
- TOELF iBT score of at least 79
- IELTS score of at least 5.5
- FCA (A)
- other equivalent English Assessment, subject to Academia approval
Total quota for enrolment in 2019 / 2020 for the programme is 30.
If you have already taken or completed an education in other higher educational institution, we may recognise this knowledge in the courses. Students are to submit the RPK-Form after enrolment. Courses can be recognised fully or partly.
Courses completed 10 years ago or before are a not subject to recognition.
Courses are recognised by Academic Committee on the basis of Lecturers’ recommendation.
Recognition of prior knowledge is free of charge.
Course of Lectures
Lectures and Tutorials are conducted one after another, which enables you to focus on a specific subject and study more effectively.
All Lectures and Lab Work are conducted in English, also recorded and available for students on online study portal E-Academia the following day.
Facilities including lecture rooms, computer labs and self-study rooms at Academia are fully accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Slovenia in accordance to high quality standards.
Guest Lectures
Every theory course students have one guest lecture from an Audio production Expert to explain the importance of a particular course for the industry.
Study Trips
In every theory course students will visit a leading industry company, have the opportunity to network with employers and see the study programme in practise.
The internship is an important compnent of this study programme. It is structured in the following manner:
- Media production training – 13 ECTS
- Audio production – 12 ECTS
In real-work environemnt you will have a mentor from an enterprise who will guide you through an internship. Internship is also a base for diploma thesis.

Study program Audio production (“inženir / inženirka medijske produkcije – avdio produkcija) is publicly accredited and recognised programme by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia (Official Gazette of RS, Nos. 86/04 and 100/13).
Education is recognised within European Union with 120 credits according to the European Credit Transfer System.
Next to official Diploma Document students will receive an annex with detailed information about the study programme and competences gained while studying at Academia.
Opportunities for further study after Graduation
Once students graduate at Academia, they can enrol into 3rd or 2nd Year of Bachelor Degree in Media Production Engineering.

In accordance with the transfer criteria, Media Production – Audio Production graduates of Academia college may enter the second year of undergraduate study program of related disciplines.
In the UK and Europe
In accordance with the transfer criteria, Media Production – Audio Production graduates of Academia college may enter the second or third year of undergraduate study program of related disciplines. Enrollment in the third year depends on average grades obtained during the studies at Academia.
