ActiveQuote, a comparison services provider based in Cardiff, is planning a £2m expansion which will allow it to launch enhanced online quote comparison services using AI. The company received £400,000 in funding from the Welsh Government to go towards the expansion. 70 new jobs will be created
Indian digital services provider Wipro is creating a new digital hub in Edinburgh. The ‘digital pod’ will support local businesses and will lead to the creation of 60 new software development jobs.
Manchester-based software company Intechnica has secured a £150,000 loan from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) core investment fund. The funding will go towards the creation of 44 new jobs and 5 new posts for its product development team.
Pageant Media, which provides business intelligence and insight for the financial services sector, is planning to create a new central research centre in Cardiff. The London-headquartered company has received £300,000 from the Welsh Government to support its expansion plans. 25 new graduate jobs will be created initially, with another 35 in the three years to come.
Tailored Fire & Security
Tailored Fire & Security, a Manchester-based security services company, has secured £1.1m in funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority’s (GMCA) core investment fund. The firm intends to use the investment to expand its business to a new site as well as creating 50 new jobs.
Camm & Hooper
London-based event management specialist Camm & Hooper increased staff headcount by 18.8% in its latest financial year, going from 69 to 82. The company is currently recruiting.
Elemental Software, a cloud-based health engagement software provider, is creating 10 new jobs in Derry/Londonderry after receiving support from Invest Northern Ireland. The recruitment plans are part of the firm’s intention to expand its business across the UK and the Middle East.
Return on Digital
Manchester-headquartered digital marketing company Return on Digital has appointed a new marketing director. The firm is currently recruiting new staff, with jobs including: sales director, search executive, digital strategist and digital account manager.
