Job announcements for November week 2…before the job ads are written


If you intend to approach a company directly for an employment opportunity, it makes sense to pick one experiencing growth or a period of investment. Keep your eyes on the newspapers, they are full of good stories if you really look. Here are a few from this week:

TravelNest, a travel technology firm based in Edinburgh, is creating over 80 new jobs in the city. The recruitment drive is part of the company’s wider expansion plan.

Derby-based manufacturer and distributor of men’s apparel, M2C2, has secured £1m in funding from Independent Growth Finance (IGF). New jobs are expected.

Welsh customer experience technology provider Vizolution has received £10m in funding from Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and HSBC. The funding will go towards product development. New jobs are expected as the firm continues to grow.

3T Energy Group
3T Energy Group, an offshore training organisation, has acquired rival firm Survivex, becoming the UK’s largest training provider to the energy sector. New jobs are expected at the growing firm.

Estio Training
IT apprenticeship training firm Estio Training has secured additional office space in Leeds. The expansion will allow the firm to grow its team.

Jaja Finance
London-based start-up Jaja Finance has announced it has reached its £3m fundraising target. The company will use the funding to launch its digital credit card and recruit additional staff.

Yumi Nutrition
Yumi Nutrition, a Manchester-based nutrition supplement start-up, has secured a £110,00 investment. The firm is looking to enter the American market and is planning to launch six new products early next year. The firm recently moved into offices in North Manchester and has plans to expand its team.

Global IT company Mastek have set up a new graduate scheme in Leeds and have already hired 18 Leeds-based graduates. The firm has announced it intends to hire additional graduates in the future.
