Amelia Knight Cosmetics
Amelia Knight Cosmetics, a Manchester-based private label and branded cosmetics provider, has acquired Stoke-on-Trent-based manufacturer Pascalle Cosmetics. The firm intends to invest in a new research and development lab, tripling the size of its research and development team.
Cornwall-based Spinnaker International, which designs asset protection technology products for use in banking, retail and cash transport, has received £3m in backing from an SME credit specialist. The company intends to invest in research and development by opening a new innovation centre, while it also plans to create 15 to 20 new jobs.
Swansea-based Internet of Things company Vortex IoT has secured a six-figure investment from the Development Bank of Wales. The funding will allow the firm to continue to expand and to create 15 new jobs by the end of the year.
The UK’s largest auction house network, John Pye Auctions, has hosted its first sale at its new premises in Chesterfield. Over 150 new jobs will be created over the next few years for the Chesterfield auction house.
Montala, an Oxfordshire-based software provider, has moved to new offices in Watchfield. The move was supported by a funding package by Barclays which will also allow the firm to increase its turnover and staff numbers by 75% in the next two years.
Law firm Shoosmiths has opened a new office in Sheffield. Ten to fourteen of its staff members will be based at the new premises, with new jobs expected.
Nivaura, a fin-tech start-up based in London, has raised £15m in a funding round led by the London Stock Exchange Group. The investment will allow the company to expand its leadership, business development and technical teams.
London-based design agency Sparkloop has opened a new office in Bath as part of its growth plans. New jobs are expected as a result of the move.
