Job announcements for April week 3…before the job ads are written


If you intend to approach a company directly for an employment opportunity, it makes sense to pick one experiencing growth or a period of investment. Keep your eyes on the newspapers, they are full of good stories if you really look. Here are a few from this week:

Firstsource Solutions
Indian business process management services Firstsource Solutions is investing £1m in a new base in Belfast city centre. 450 new jobs will be created as a result of the investment, with new positions including customer service, HR and IT roles.

Don’t Waste Money
Don’t Waste Money, a Birmingham-based energy switching service, intends to create 80 new jobs over the course of the year.

Prime Global
Cheshire-based medical communications group Prime Global has announced it is creating 60 new jobs after receiving a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK. Jobs will range from graduate to director positions, split across the firm’s headquarters in Cheshire and its London office.

UK intelligence agency GCHQ is growing its 5,000-strong team, with 15 new jobs currently being advertised. These include auditor, M&E safety and compliance manager, cyber security risk adviser and deputy head of internal audit.

Saggezza, a global technology company, is planning to double its headcount at its Sunderland offices. 50 new jobs are expected, with positions including developer roles.

The Ascot Group
Weston-super-Mare-based marketing and media group The Ascot Group has announced it will be creating 200 new jobs. These will be created at every level, from senior management to trainee roles and will include digital marketing, data analytics, copywriting and graphic design positions. The new jobs will be created over the next three years and the company is looking for additional office space to accommodate the growth.

Contentsquare, a US-based user experience analytics platform, has relocated its London office to larger premises to support the expansion of its team. The firm intends to create 20 new jobs over the next 12 months.

Foreign exchange company moneycorp has opened a new office in Leeds. The firm is currently recruiting and expects to hire 7 new employees by September this year.
